Metropolis Radio
Musical Hibernation
In selecting these tracks, I was aiming to pick my “survival kit,” if you will, of music for the forthcoming winter and likely shelter-in-place period with the ongoing pandemic. Therefore the selected tracks range from upbeat to trance-like, and will hopefully cover every and any temperament in the approaching period.
These tracks also include favorites that were crucial in my initial musical awareness, such as Sarah Kirkland Snider’s Penelope featuring vocalist Shara Nova and Judd Greenstein’s Clearing, Dawn, Dance performed by yMusic, as well as 80s favorite the Cocteau Twins, and newer selections from Wye Oak’s recent album with the Brooklyn Youth Chorus and from composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Kelly Moran.
